καὶ εἰ μὲν σώ- ματά ἐστι, ψεῦδος ἔσται τοῖς γεωμέτραμις τὸ ἀβαθῆ εἶναι τὴν ἐπιφάνειαν. | εἰ γὰρ σῶμά ἐστιν, ἐξ ἀνάγκης ἕξει καὶ βάθος πᾶν γὰρ σῶμα ὀφείλει βάθος ἔχειν. εἶτα οὐδὲ ἅψεταί τινος, ἀλλὰ πᾶν ἔσται ἀπειρομέγεθες. εἰ γὰρ σῶμά ἐστιν, ἐπεὶ πᾶν σῶμα πέρας ἔχει, κἀκεῖνο τὸ πέρας σῶμα ὂν ἕξει πέρας, κἀκεῖνο ὁμοίως, καὶ τοῦτ᾿ εἰς ἄπειρον.
