οὕτως εἰ ἀληθές ἐστι κατὰ τοὺς Στωικοὺς (II fr. 214 Arn.) ὃ ὑπάρχει τε καὶ ἀντίκειταί τινι καὶ ψεῦδος ὃ μὴ ὑπάρχει μὲν ἀντίκειται δέ τινι, κατ’ ἀνάγκην ὀφείλομεν γινώσκειν εἰς τὴν τούτων νόησιν τί ἐστι τὸ ἀντικείμενον. οὐ πάνυ δέ γε δύνανται παραστῆσαι τὸ ἀντικείμενον ἡμῖν οἱ Στωικοί· τοίνυν οὐδὲ τὸ ἀληθὲς ἢ ψεῦδος ἔσται γνώριμα.
