Ἄλλως τε ἐπὶ τοῦ δικανικοῦ ἤτοι διὰ δικαίων μόνον λόγων ἕλξει τοὺς δικαστὰς ἐπὶ τὸ τέλος ἡ ῥητορικὴ 〈 διὰ τῶν ἀδίκων μόνον〉 ἢ διὰ τῶν δικαίων ἅμα καὶ ἀδί- κων. ἀλλʼ εἰ μὲν διὰ τῶν δικαίων μόνον, ἀρετὴ γενήσεται· οὐχὶ δέ γε ἀρετή ἐστιν ἡ στοχαζομένη τῆς ὀχλικῆς πει- θοῦς, ἐν ᾖ πολὺ τὸ εἰκαῖον καὶ ἐξαπατητικόν οὐκ ἄρα διὰ τῶν δικαίων μόνον ἐπὶ τὸ τέλος ἄγειν πέφυκε τοὺς ἀκούοντας.
