ἄλλος δέ τις ἀπορήσει καὶ περὶ τῶν ἀλόγων ζῴων. εἰ γὰρ παρὰ τούς συσχηματισμοὺς τῶν ἀστέρων τὰ κατὰ τὸν βίον ἀποτελέσματα πέφυκεν ἐκβαίνειν, ἐχρῆν ἐν τῷ αὐτῷ τούτῳ τοῦ ζῳδίου μορίῳ κάνθωνος ἅμα καὶ ἀνθρώπου γεννηθέντων τὴν αὐτὴν ἐν ἀμφοτέροις ἀκολουθεῖν τῶν βίων ἔκβασιν, καὶ μὴ τὸν μέν ἄνθρωπον πολλάκις ἐπι- φανῶς πολιτευσάμενον περισπούδαστον εἶναι τοῖς δήμοις, τὸν δέ κάνθωνα διὰ παντὸς ἀχθοφορεῖν ἢ εἰς μύλωνας ἀπάγεσθαι.
