φαύλους δὲ τοὺς πλείστους λέγουσιν. οὐκοῦν οὐδὲ καθό εἰσιν ἄνθρωποι ὑπάρξειεν ἂν αὐτοῖς ἡ περὶ τὸν βίον τέχνη. οὐδὲ φύσει ἄρα. καὶ ἄλλως, ἐπειδὴ (Stoic. fr. 173 Arn.) τὴν τέχνην σύστημα ἐκ καταλήψεων εἷναι βούλονται συγγεγυμνασμένων, διὰ πείρας τέ τινος καὶ μαθήσεως ἐμφαίνουσι μᾶλλον ἀναλαμβάνεσθαι τάς τε ἄλλας τέχνας καὶ ταύτην περὶ ἧς ὁ λόγος.
