Τὰ κιρνάμενα ἐξ οὐσίας καὶ ποιοτήτων συγκεῖσθαι φασίν. ἤτοι οὖν τἀς μὲν οὐσίας αὐτῶν μίγνυσθαι φήσει τις, τὰς δὲ ποιότητας μηδαμῶς, ἢ τὰς μὲν ποιότητας ἀναμίγνυσθαι, μηκέτι δὲ τὰς οὐσίας, ἢ μηθέτερον ἀναμίγνυσθαι θατέρῳ, ἢ ἀμφότερα ἑνοῦσθαι ἀλλήλοις. ἀλλ᾿ εἰ μὲν οὔτε αἱ ποιότητες οὔτε αἱ οὐσίαι ἀναμίγνυνται ἀλλήλοις, ἀνεπινόητος ἔσται ἡ κρᾶσις· πῶς γὰρ μία αἴσθησις ἀπὸ τῶν κιρναμένων γίνεσθαι συμβήσεται, εἴγε κατὰ μηδὲν τῶν προειρημένων μίγνυται ἀλλήλοις τὰ κιρνάμενα;
