Ὡς ὁ βασιλεὺς Οὐαλεντινιανὸς ὁμώνυμον παῖδα γεγέννηκεν, Γρατιανοῦ πρὸ τῆς βασιλείας αὐτοῦ γεγεννημένου. Ὀλίγον δὲ ὕστερον τοῦδε τοῦ πολέμου κατὰ τὴν αὐτὴν ὑπατείαν Οὐαλεντινιανῷ τῷ βασιλεῖ ἐν τοῖς ἑσπερίοις μέρεσιν ἐτέχθη υἱὸς ὁμώνυμος αὐτῷ: Γρατιανὸς γὰρ ἤδη πρότερον πρὸ τῆς βασιλείας αὐτῷ γεγέννητο.
