ἐπίσταμαί τε καὶ φράσω σεσωσμένα.
ἀλλʼ οἶσθα μὲν δὴ καὶ τὰ τῆς ξένης ὁρῶν
προσδέγματʼ, αὐτὴν ὡς ἐδεξάμην φίλως.
ὥστʼ ἐκπλαγῆναι τοὐμὸν ἡδονῇ κέαρ.
τί δῆτʼ ἂν ἄλλο γʼ ἐννέποις; δέδοικα γὰρ
μὴ πρῲ λέγοις ἂν τὸν πόθον τὸν ἐξ ἐμοῦ,
πρὶν εἰδέναι τἀκεῖθεν εἰ ποθούμεθα.
