Σωσικράτης δέ φησι πρότερον Κροίσου τελευτῆσαι αὐτὸν ἔτεσι τετταράκοντα καὶ ἑνὶ, πρὸ τῆς τεσσαρακοστῆς ἐννάτης Ὀλυμπιάδος. Λέγει δὲ αὐτὸν Σωσικράτης ἐλθεῖν εἰς Ἀθήνας κατὰ τὴν τεσσαρακοστὴν ἑβδόμην Ὀλυμπιάδα, ἐπὶ ἄρχοντος Εὐκράτους.
