Κατὰ δὲ τοῦτον τὸν χρόνον, τῶν ἀπὸ τῆς καθόλου ἐκκλησίας καταλαμβανόντων τοὺς εὐκτηρίους οἴκους, πλεῖσται πολλαχῆ τῆς ὑπηκόου ταραχαὶ συνέβησαν, τῶν ἀπὸ τῆς Ἀρείου αἱρέσεως ἀνθισταμένων. Θεοδόσιος δὲ ὁ βασιλεὺς, ὀλίγον τῆς προτέρας συνόδου διαλιπὼν χρόνον, αὖθις τοὺς προεστῶτας τῶν ἀκμαζουσῶν τότε αἱρέσεων συνεκάλεσεν,
