Ὅτι τὸ πρὸς νότον τοῦ Ἰβηρικοῦ πελάγους πέλαγος, ἕως Κυρήνης, Λιβυκὸν καλεῖται· τὸ δὲ πρὸς ἀνατολὰς τὸ μὲν Λιγυστικὸν, τὸ δὲ Σαρδῷον, τὸ δὲ Τυρρηνικόν. Ὅτι τοῦ Ἰονίου κόλπου τὸ μὲν μῆκος στάδια ,ε, τὸ δὲ πλάτος ,α β΄. Ὅτι ἀπὸ Παχύνου ἕως Κρήτης καὶ τῶν δυτικῶν ἕως Ταινάρου τῆς Πελοποννήσου, ἶσον ὺπάρχον, στάδιοι τετρακισχίλιοι πεντακοσιοι.
