Καὶ ἵνα μὴ πάντα λέγων μακροτέραν ἐργάσωμαι τὴν διάλεξιν, ῥᾴδιον, ὦ ἄνδρες, ἐντυχεῖν τῷδε τῷ διαλόγῳ καὶ γνῶναι σαφῶς, ὅπως καὶ τὸ δικαστήριον ἐπιδείκνυσι καὶ τῶν τὰ σμικρὰ ἡμαρτηκότων τὰ ξύμμετρα ἐπιτίμια καὶ τῶν τὰ μεγάλα καὶ πλεῖστα ἠσεβηκότων τὰς ἀνηκέστους κολάσεις. Ὀλίγων δέ πῄ τινων ἀπομνημονεύσω κἀγώ· λέγει δὲ οὕτως· «Οἳ δ' ἂν δόξωσιν
