καὶ αὐτὴ καθ' ἑαυτὴν ἡ τῆς ἐλευθερίας δωρεὰ τὸν τῆς εὐσεβείας ὑμῖν ἐπιδεῖξαι καρπόν, ἐκ φιλοτιμίας δὲ ὅμως ὁ φιλόδωρος καὶ μεγαλόδωρος Κύριος καὶ τὴν αἰώνιον ὑμῖν δωρεῖται ζωήν, ἵνα ἁμαρτίας καὶ δικαιοσύνης τὸ διάφορον καταμάθητε. Ἡ μὲν γὰρ τέλος ἔσχε τὸν θάνατον, ἡ δὲ τὴν ζωὴν τὴν αἰώνιον.
