Ταῦτα περὶ τῶν γενητῶν εἰρηκώς, ἅπερ δεῖ φρονεῖν περὶ τοῦ πεποιηκότος, σοφώτατα ἐξεπαίδευσεν. Ἔφη γάρ· «Τὸν μὲν οὖν ποιητὴν καὶ δημιουργὸν τοῦδε τοῦ παντὸς εὑρεῖν τε ἔργον, καὶ εὑρόντα εἰς πάντας ἐξειπεῖν ἀδύνατον· ῥητὸν γὰρ οὐδαμῶς ἐστιν ὡς τὰ ἄλλα μαθήματα.»
