Καὶ Πίνδαρος δὲ ὁ Θηβαῖος, ἐρρῶσθαι φράσας εἱμαρμένῃ καὶ τύχῃ καὶ πεπρωμένῃ, τὴν παναλκῆ δύναμιν τοῦ Θεοῦ διδάσκει τοὺς ἀγνοοῦντας· θεῷ γάρ φησι δυνατὸν ἐκ μελαίνας νυκτὸς ἀμίαντον ὄρσαι φάος, κελαινεφεῖ δὲ σκότει καλύψαι καθαρὸν ἁμέρας σέλας.
