ἀλλὰ τὴν μὲν σφαγὴν ὁ κακομήχανος ἐκεῖνος ἐκώλυσε, φθόνῳ βαλλόμενος καὶ τῆς εὐκλείας βασκαίνων τοῖς ἀθληταῖς, οὐκ εἴασε δὲ ὅμως αὐτοὺς τὰς πόλεις οἰκεῖν, ἀλλ’ εἰς τὰς ἐσχατιὰς τῆς Ῥωμαίων ἡγεμονίας ἐξέπεμψε.
