οὕτω δὴ αὐτῶν καταντικρὺ τοῦ διώκοντος φερομένων, ἧκεν ὁ τοῦ θανάτου τὰς ἐντολὰς δεδεγμένος καὶ πόσον ἀφέστηκεν ὁ Ἀθανάσιος ἤρετο. ὁ δὲ πελάζειν τοῦτον εἰπὼν ἐκεῖνον μὲν ἀπέπεμψεν, αὐτὸς δὲ τὴν Ἀλεξάνδρειαν κατέλαβε καὶ τὸ λειπόμενον τῆς Ἰουλιανοῦ βιοτῆς αὐτόθι διέλαθεν.
