συγγνωμονήσει γὰρ ὑμῖν τὸ θεῖον, κἄν ἀληθῆ σέβητε θρησκείαν, οὐκ αὐθαιρέτως ἀλλὰ πρὸς ἀνάγκην τοῦτο πράξασι. τῇ μὲν γὰρ ἀνάγκῃ ἀπολογία περιλείπεται, τῷ δὲ αὐθαι- ρέτῳ ἀκολουθεῖ κατηγορία.
