ὅτε τοίνυν ὁ προειρημένος ἐπὶ τοῦ λιμένος παρὼν τοῖς ἐρέσσουσιν ὑψοῦν τὰ ἱστία προσέταττε, τότε οἰμωγὴ οἰμωγὴ παρθένων καὶ γυναικῶν, πρεσβυτῶν καὶ νέων, καὶ θρῆνοι προσπεπλεγμένοι δάκρυσιν ὀξέσιν, αἱ τῶν ἁπάντων βοαὶ τῆς ἐπαφριζούσης θαλάσσης † τὸν προσρησσόμενον σωρὸν τῷ κύματι κτύ- πον ἐκάλυπτον.
