Κύρν', ἀγαθὸς μὲν ἀνὴρ γνώμην ἔχει ἔμπεδον αἰεί,
τολμᾶι δ' ἔν τ' ἀγαθοῖς κείμενος ἔν τε κακοῖς.
εἰ δὲ θεὸς κακῶι ἀνδρὶ βίον καὶ πλοῦτον ὀπάσσηι
ἀφραίνων βίοτον οὐ δύναται κατέχειν.
