κυριωτάτη δὲ πασῶν, φησίν, ἡ διὰ τεσσάρων συμ- φωνία· ἐκ γὰρ ταύτης καὶ αἱ λοιπαὶ εὑρίσκονται. ἡ δὲ διὰ πέντε τόνῳ τοῦ διὰ τεσσάρων διενήνοχεν. ἀμέλει τὸν τόνον οὕτως ὁρίζονται· τὸ ἀπὸ τοῦ διὰ πέντε ἐπὶ τὸ διὰ τεσσάρων διάστημα. εὑρίσκεται δὲ ἐκ τοῦ διὰ τεσσάρων καὶ διὰ πέντε τὸ διὰ πασῶν· σύγκειται γὰρ ἐκ τοῦ διὰ τεσσάρων καὶ διὰ πέντε.
