ἀριθμοῦ δὲ πρὸς ἀριθμὸν λόγος ἐστίν, ὅταν ὁ μεί- ζων πρὸς τὸν ἐλάττονα ἐν μηδενὶ τῶν προειρημένων λόγων, κάθὰ δειχθήσεται καὶ ὁ τὸ λεῖμμα περιέχων [φθόγγος] λόγος ἀριθμοῦ πρὸς ἀριθμὸν ἔχων τοὺς ὅρους ἐν ἐλαχίστοις ὡς ὁ σνςʹ πρὸς σμγ. φανεροὶ δὲ καὶ οἱ τῶν ἐλαττόνων ὅρων πρὸς τοὺς μείζονας λόγοι ἀντεστραμμένως ὑπʼ ἐκείνων προσαγορευόμενοι, καθὰ ἐδείχθη.
