Ὁ δὲ χαμαιλέων δοκεῖ τῷ πνεύματι ποιεῖν τὰς μεταβολὰς, πνευματικὸν γὰρ φύσει. Σημεῖον δὲ τὸ τοῦ πνεύμονος μέγεθος· σχεδὸν γὰρ διʼ ὅλου τοῦ σώματος τέταται· ἅμα δὲ καὶ αὐτὸς ἐξαιρόμενος καὶ φυσώμενος. (Photii Biblioth. 278.)
