Τὸν αὐτὸν δὲ τρόπον καὶ τῶν ἄλλων ἑκάστοις ἐστί τις οἰκεία πρὸς τὴν φύσιν καὶ ἡ αὐτὴ τοῖς μὲν μᾶλλον τοῖς δ' ἧττον. Ὡς δ' ἁπλῶς εἰπεῖν τοῖς μὲν πλείοσιν οὐ συμφέρει ἡ πίειρα· δοκεῖ γὰρ καταξηραίνειν μᾶλλον τοῦ μετρίου δι' ὃ καὶ πημαίνεσθαι καὶ νοσεῖν· ὅσα δὲ λυπρὰ τούτοις ξυμφέρει· σημεῖον δὲ ὅτι τὰ λάχανα καὶ ὁ δημήτριος καρπὸς ἐν ταῖς τοιαύταις εὐθενεῖ, πάντα δὲ ταῦτα λυπρὰ τῇ φύσει· τὰ γὰρ φύσει λυπρὰ πιοτέρας τροφῆς δέονται.
