Ἐν ἑτέροις δὲ καὶ δι' ἄλλα τῆς δυνάμεως οὔσης οὐκ ἄλογον τὸ μὲν ὑπάρχειν τὸ δὲ μή. Τό τε γὰρ ἀβλαστὲς καὶ ἄγονον ἢ καὶ δυσαυξὲς ὅταν κακωθῇ πρὸς τὴν γέννησιν οὐκ ἄλογον. Οὐδ' ἐξ ἀτεραμόνων τεράμονα γίνεσθαι σπαρέντα πάλιν· ὑπὸ γὰρ τῶν αὐτῶν ἐναντίως διατιθεμένων ὥσπερ εἴπομεν οὐκ ἄλογος ἡ τεραμότης. Ὥστ' εἰ ὁ ἀὴρ καὶ τὰ ὕδατα καὶ τὰ ἐδάφη τοιαῦτα τί κωλύει καὶ τὰ σπέρματα μεταβάλλειν;
