Ἀλλὰ γὰρ ποῖαι μέν τινες ὀσμαὶ χρόνιοι καὶ ποῖαι ξηραινομένων εὐοσμότεραι καὶ τἆλλα τὰ τούτοις ὅμοια διὰ τῶν εἰρημένων θεωρείσθω· καὶ γὰρ ὅσα μὴ εἴρηται ῥᾴδιον ἐκ τούτων συνιδεῖν. Ὅσα δὲ μὴ κατὰ μέρος εὔοσμα ἀλλ' ὅλα τυγχάνει περὶ τούτων ἀπορήσειεν ἄν τις ὃ καὶ πρότερον ἐλέχθη, διὰ τί τὸ ἄνθος οὐκ εὔοσμον αὐτῶν ἢ οὐ κατὰ λόγον. Ἔδει γὰρ καὶ τοῖς ἄλλοις μὴ οὖσιν εὐόσμοις τούτοις μάλιστα διὰ τὸ προϋπάρχειν τὴν φύσιν.
