ΘΟΥΚΥΔΙΔΟΥ ΤΟΥ ΙΣΤΟΡΙΚΟΥ
Μνᾶμα μὲν Ἑλλὰς ἅπασ' Εὐριπίδου, ὀστέα δ' ἴσχει
γῆ Μακεδών, ᾗπερ δέξατο τέρμα βίου.
πατρὶς δ' Ἑλλάδος Ἑλλάς, Ἀθῆναι· πλεῖστα δὲ Μούσαις
τέρψας ἐκ πολλῶν καὶ τὸν ἔπαινον ἔχει.
