πὰρ πυρὶ χρὴ τοιαῦτα λέγειν χειμῶνος ἐν ὥρηι ἐν κλίνηι μαλακῆι κατακείμενον, ἔμπλεον ὄντα, πίνοντα γλυκὺν οἶνον, ὑποτρώγοντ' ἐρεβίνθους· ‘τίς πόθεν εἷς ἀνδρῶν; πόσα τοι ἔτε' ἐστί, φέριστε; πηλίκος ἦσθ', ὅθ' ὁ Μῆδος ἀφίκετο;’
