ὁ δὲ Ἱππόθοος ἀκούσας ὅτι τε Ἄνθεια εἴη καὶ ὅτι γυνὴ τοῦ πάντων αὐτῷ φιλτάτου, ἀσπάζεταί τε αὐτὴν καὶ εὐθυμεῖν παρεκάλει καὶ τὴν αὑτοῦ πρὸς Ἁβροκόμην φιλίαν διηγεῖται. Καὶ τὴν μὲν εἶχεν ἐπὶ τῆς οἰκίας, πᾶσαν προσάγων ἐπιμέλειαν, Ἁβροκόμην αἰδούμενος· αὐτὸς δὲ πάντα ἀνηρεύνα, εἴ που τὸν Ἁβροκόμην ἀνεύροι.
