ἐγὼ μὲν οὖν, ὦ Ἱππία, τὸ αὐτὸ ἀποδείκνυμαι νόμιμόν τε καὶ δίκαιον εἶναι· σὺ δʼ εἰ τἀναντία γιγνώσκεις, δίδασκε. καὶ ὁ Ἱππίας, ἀλλὰ μὰ τὸν Δίʼ, ἔφη, ὦ Σώκρατες, οὔ μοι δοκῶ τἀναντία γιγνώσκειν οἷς εἴρηκας περὶ τοῦ δικαίου.
