ὑμεῖς δʼ ἔχοντες ἃ δεῖ ἕκαστοι πάρεστε εἰς τὴν ἐπὶ Βαβυλῶνος ὁδόν· ὁ δʼ ὁρμώμενος ἀεὶ τῷ κατʼ οὐρὰν παρεγγυάτω ἕπεσθαι. ἐκ τούτου δὴ ᾤχοντο ἐπὶ τὰς σκηνὰς καὶ ἅμα ἀπιόντες διελέγοντο πρὸς ἀλλήλους ὡς μνημονικῶς ὁ Κῦρος ὁπόσοις συνέταττε πᾶσιν ὀνομάζων ἐνετέλλετο.
