ἐγκελευσαμένου δὲ τοῦ βασιλέως, προστησάμενος ἑαυτοῦ τινὰς ὁ Πέρσης τοὺς ἀποκρύπτοντας, ἐντείνας τὸ τόξον καὶ βέλος ἁρμόσας ἀφίησιν, ὃ δὴ προκεκυφότι τῆς ἐπάλξεως τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ καὶ ἔτι τὰς ὕβρεις ἐπαφιέντι προσπαγὲν κατάγει τε τοῦ τείχους αὐτὸν καὶ νεκρὸν τῷ στρατοπέδῳ καὶ τῷ βασιλεῖ δείκνυσιν.
