αὐτὸς δὲ τρεῖς ἐπιμείνας τῇ Ἱεραπόλει μόνας ἡμέρας ἐπὶ Βάτνας τῆς Ὀσδροηνῆς πολίχνιόν τι προῄει, οὗ δὴ ὑπαντήσαντες Ἐδεσηνοὶ πανδημεὶ στέφανόν τε προσέφερον καὶ μετ̓ εὐφημίας εἰς τὴν σφῶν πόλιν ἐκάλουν. ὅ δὲ ἀποδεξάμενος καὶ ἐπιστὰς τῇ πόλει, καὶ ὅσα ἔδει χρηματίσας, ἐπὶ Κάρρας ἐβάδιζε.
