ὁ δὲ βασιλεὺς Οὐάλης λῃζομένους ἤδη τὴν Θρᾴκην πᾶσαν τοὺς Σκύθας θεώμενος, ἔγνω τοὺς ἐκ τῆς ἑῴας σὺν αὐτῷ παραγενομένους καὶ μάχεσθαι μεθ̓ ἵππων ἐμπειροτάτους τῇ τῶν Σκυθῶν ἵππῳ πρότερον ἐπιπέμψαι.
