Non tot in Eois timuit Gangeticus aruis
raptor, in Hyrcano qui fugit albus equo,
quot tua Roma nouas uidit, Germanice, tigres;
delicias potuit nec numerare suas.
Vincit Erythraeos tua, Caesar, harena triumphos
et uictoris opes diuitiasque dei:
nam cum captiuos ageret sub curribus Indos,
contentus gemina tigride Bacchus erat.
